One yard, one inbox,
same-day answers.
We are at 310 Emig Rd, York, PA 17406. Everything we agree goes in writing — quotes, grades, freight bookings and prior-contents records — which is why this company runs on email rather than a phone line.

Send us the details
Quantity, ZIP and what the totes last held are usually enough for us to come back with a number.
Tell us what you have.
We will tell you what it is worth.
Buying, selling, washing, hauling or recycling — one form covers all of it. Replies come from a specialist in York, PA, by email, inside one business day.

info@ibctotesreco.comDirections to the yard
Emig Road runs north from Route 30 in the Emigsville area of Manchester Township, just off I-83 on the north side of York. From I-83 exit 24 (Emigsville), head west, then north on Emig Road; the yard is on the left behind a galvanised fence line stacked three totes high — you will see it before you see the sign.
- From Harrisburg: I-83 south, exit 24, roughly 25 minutes.
- From Baltimore: I-83 north, exit 24, roughly 1 hour 10 minutes.
- From Lancaster: Route 30 west to I-83 north, exit 24, roughly 50 minutes.
- From Philadelphia: PA Turnpike west to I-83 south, roughly 2 hours.
53-foot trailers turn in comfortably. The approach is paved to the scale house and compacted stone beyond it; in a hard freeze we grade and salt the main lane by 6:30 AM.
Four questions that get you a faster number
What was the last product in the totes?
This single answer decides whether a tote is food-grade eligible, washable, rebottle-only or scrap. Trade name plus a safety data sheet is ideal; if you only have the label photo, send that.
How many, and are they stacked?
Quantity sets the freight mode. Twenty or more on a flat, accessible surface is a full or partial truckload. Stacked two-high outdoors means we bring a reach truck instead of a standard forklift.
What is the loading situation?
Tell us whether you have a dock, a forklift and an operator, or neither. We can bring our own lift on a flatbed, but it changes the lane price and the appointment window.
When do they need to be gone?
We hold a weekly slot for same-week clearances in the Mid-Atlantic. If you are working to an audit date or a lease hand-back, say so in the message box and we will prioritise accordingly.
Site, access, coverage and who answers what
The practical detail a driver, a buyer and a compliance officer each need, without three separate emails.
- Check in at the scale house on the right as you enter. Every inbound and outbound load crosses a certified scale.
- Hi-vis and closed-toe footwear past the yellow line. We keep spares at the scale house.
- Engines off while loading. No cab occupancy under a raised load.
- Bring the order or quote reference. Everything in our system is indexed by it.
- Appointment for pickups. Stock is pulled, photographed and staged before you arrive rather than while you wait.
- 53 ft trailers and 48 ft flatbeds both turn in. The approach is paved to the scale house, compacted stone beyond.
- In a hard freeze the main lane is graded and salted by 6:30 AM.

Six details that get you a number instead of a question
- The product name, not the category. “Industrial cleaner” could be a dilute surfactant or a caustic degreaser — a factor of four in wash cost.
- Quantity and how they are stored. Twenty on a paved pad is a different job from forty across three buildings.
- Your ZIP code. Freight is quoted from it, and it decides whether your lane has a backhaul.
- The loading situation. Dock, forklift with an operator, or neither. This changes the equipment we send.
- Your deadline, especially if it is an audit date or a lease hand-back.
- A photograph of a typical unit and one of the UN plate. Six photographs scope eighty percent of a job.
Why no phone number?
Every quote, grade call and freight booking goes in writing, so there is a record both sides can point at later. It removes the “but you said on the phone” problem.
Can I just turn up?
Yes, during yard hours. Pickups need an appointment so stock is pulled and staged before you arrive.
Do you ship to Canada?
Yes, through partner carriers with the appropriate customs paperwork. Allow a few extra days for documentation.
Can I collect in a pickup?
Three empty totes fit in a standard bed with the tailgate down and proper strapping. Nine fit on a 16-foot trailer.
What are the holiday closures?
New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Holiday-week inbound loads book the Wednesday before.
How fast is a reply really?
Inside one business day as a commitment, usually the same afternoon. If nothing arrives, check spam then write to the office address directly.
