310 Emig Rd, bay by bay
Four minutes from I-83, a paved apron, three wash bays, a rebottling cell and about 2,900 units on the ground. If you want to understand how a tote gets graded, start with the floor plan.
Book a yard visit
Customers and suppliers are welcome during yard hours. Tell us when and we will have a forklift and a yard hand assigned.
Tell us what you have.
We will tell you what it is worth.
Buying, selling, washing, hauling or recycling — one form covers all of it. Replies come from a specialist in York, PA, by email, inside one business day.

The route a container takes through the site
1 — Scale house and inbound gate. Every load crosses a certified scale before anything is unloaded. The declaration is checked against the manifest and against the UN plate on the first three units off the trailer. A load whose paperwork disagrees with its plates does not come off the truck.
2 — Quarantine row. Inbound stock sits in a dedicated row, split edible-prior from industrial-prior, until it has passed the inspection bench. The two rows never share a forklift attachment, a dunnage rack or a wash bay.
3 — Inspection bench. Backlight, sniff, cage square-check with a frame gauge, pallet probe for rot and delamination, valve function, gasket condition. Grades A, B, C, cage-only or scrap are assigned here by the inspector, in writing, before anyone sees a price.
4 — Wash bays. Bay 1 is the dedicated food line and never sees an industrial-prior container. Bays 2 and 3 run the general programme from three-stage rinse up to hot caustic clean-in-place. The full sequence is on the reconditioning line page.
5 — Rebottling cell. Cages that outlived their bottles are straightened on a press jig, re-galvanised where needed, and fitted with new blow-moulded bottles. This cell alone keeps roughly 48 tons of galvanised steel a year out of the scrap stream.
6 — Test, fit and mark. Pressure and leak test, new valve, new gaskets, new lid, dust cap, then the reconditioner mark with our code and the month and year of reconditioning.
7 — Racking and photography. Graded stock is racked two high by grade and capacity. Every unit is photographed on the rack, and those photographs are what you receive with a quote — not a stock image.
8 — Loading. One dock-height door and two ground-level, with three forklifts to 8,000 lb. A 48-foot flatbed takes 40 totes single-stacked or 80 in two tiers where the product and the destination allow it.
We run our own lanes, which is why delivered prices make sense
Totes are cheap and enormous. Load factor and backhaul availability move delivered cost more than unit price ever will.

Why York County
It is an accident of founding that turned out to be an advantage. York sits inside a day's drive of roughly a third of the US population and at the intersection of three things this trade needs: dense food and beverage manufacturing in Lancaster and Berks counties, chemical blending along the I-83 and I-81 corridors, and a very large agricultural customer base that wants cheap, sound, non-potable containers by the dozen.
The practical effect is short collection radii and high backhaul availability. We rarely run an empty truck in either direction, which is both the reason our delivered pricing is competitive and a meaningful part of the environmental argument.
Visiting
Walk-ins are welcome during yard hours. Pickups need an appointment so that stock is pulled, photographed and staged before you arrive rather than while you wait.
- Check in at the scale house on the right as you enter.
- Hi-vis and closed-toe footwear past the yellow line — we keep spares.
- Engines off while loading; no cab occupancy under a raised load.
- Bring a copy of your order or quote reference; everything in our system is indexed by it.
Hours, holidays and directions from every direction are on the Contact Us page.
